It was a busy weekend for Huntingdon Boat Club.
On Saturday, Daniel Grant represented the eastern region in the Junior Inter-Regional Regatta at Holme Pierrepont Nottingham.
The distance was 1500m with him coming fifth in his heat and fifth in the B final in J14 single sculls. He did really well as he had not come across any of the competitors before.
On the Sunday, he then went to Leicester with his teammates for the 1st regatta of the year with the club coming away with four wins.
Daniel Grant won his single sculls at J14, he also rowed in J15 single sculls.
Tom Starling, Dan Fazackerley, Maksim Marjanovic, James Roach with Alice Ray coxing won open mens coxed fours.
Libby Jackson and Ivia Pigg won womens J16 double sculls, Jackson also competed in single sculls.
Ross O’Kane won his J16 single sculls, he also double sculled with Patrick Foy in J16.
Also rowing on the day were Isabella Dovey and Evie Ray in womens J15 double scull, both of them also racing their singles.
Toby Ray raced in open double sculls (band 1) with Starling, then in a J17 single making it to the final.
James Roach/Dan Fazackerley, Maksim Marjanovic/Joe Manchett rowed in open double sculls (band 2). Manchett also raced in mens open single.
Jack Bennett and Tom Hancock had to move up a year in their double scull to J15, this was a straight final losing out to a more experienced J15 crew from Northampton.
