To mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee this year, St Neots Museum is making a short film about locals who have had a royal encounter and are appealing to them for help.
The museum is asking any locals who have links to a royal or have met a royal to send any photographs, information or souvenirs of the occasion and to get in touch so they can be added to the film.
The film will be shared with people as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, which start on June 2.
As far as the museum knows, no current royal family member has ever visited St Neots, so the film will look into the past to find any royal connections the museum can.
An example of a connection uncovered from delving deep into the museum collections was a tiny, 2,000-year-old, quarter stater coin from the Kimbolton coin hoard bearing the name of Cunobelin, described as the ‘King of the Britons’ by the Roman historian Suetonius.
