St Neots mum Donna Salter was so frustrated at the lack of information about local kids clubs and groups that she decided to start her own website.
Battletheboredom.com began life as a list of activities for children in town and the surrounding areas but over the past year has developed into a one-stop-shop for young people with information on a variety of issues including bullying and study advice.
“It started off as a silly little thing and has just grown like wildfire,” the 33-year-old said. “When I started researching what was available in the area I discovered there were four youth clubs and over 120 clubs - which I couldn’t believe!”
The site has been welcomed by schools and colleges and Mrs Salter, of Countess Close, is now looking at ways to develop it.
She added: “We regularly run competitions but at the moment I have to fund them myself which is why we’re hoping for small donations from schools or businesses who may want to advertise with us.”
