The chair of Cambridgeshire County Council, Cllr Stephen Ferguson, has shared a message in support for victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
His message reads: “On behalf of everyone at Cambridgeshire County Council, I would like to offer our sincere condolences to those affected by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. We are saddened by the loss of so many lives.
“We know that there will be people in our communities who are anxious about friends and family in the region; we offer you our support and are thinking of you at this terrible time.”
Cllr Ferguson’s message continued: “We will be contacting local organisations to ensure that anyone impacted by the earthquakes has access to the help they need.
“Residents who wish to offer support to the relief efforts can do so through the organisations listed below.”
