A farewell gathering at The Eaton's Vaccination centre at The Maltings in Eaton Socon has helped raise more than £2,450 for Prostate Cancer UK.
The vaccination centre's "amazing team", who answered the call to vaccinate the community against Covid for the last two years, said goodbye to the centre on February 10 and held a fundraiser alongside a buffet and farewell gathering.
The closure of the centre follows the closure of mass vaccination centres nationally.
Jo Shirreffs, a registered nurse, said: "We are sad not to be working together any more but have made friendships that will last for life, and hopefully have helped Prostate Cancer UK move towards achieving their goal of safeguarding our men and their health."

More than 50 people attended the gathering, including St Neots mayor Cllr Ben Pitt, and a raffle was held contributing £445 towards the £2,482 total raised through an online fundraiser.
Jo's husband currently suffers from an aggressive form of Prostate Cancer, and so Jo and the team, aware first-hand of the challenges the disease brings, set up a JustGiving page to support and help the charity alongside their farewell celebrations.
