A hotel has featured in the final tale of a five-piece novel that follows a 60-year saga in search for a woman.
The Golden Lion in St Ives features in the Albany House series, called Looking for Anna written by author and travel writer Nigel Heath.
Domonic Bird, general manager of The Golden Lion, said: “We thought it would be fun to purchase a few copies for the enjoyment of our guests.”
The story, set in the fictitious North Devon village of Little Oreford, follows the search by a private investigator and his partner to find Anna because she is due an inheritance.
‘Looking for Anna’, which tells of the fortunes of the Jameson family and friends, sees the trail begin in Glastonbury where Anna, then nine, was first known to be living.
The search leads to St Ives in Cornwall, before travelling to the Cambridgeshire town of St Ives.
And it is at The Golden Lion where a clue that leads to Anna is found.
