Traffic and travel updates, roadworks and road closures for Cambridgeshire as well as temporary closures to be aware of for the coronation. 

Around 40 temporary road closures will take place between May 6-8 where some communities are holding events/street parties as part of the coronation celebrations.

A47 Guyhirn/Wisbech 

Currently closed in both directions due to an obstruction. Queues building. Avoid area as delays building southbound.

B1102 Mildenhall Road - Fordham  

The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles on May 5 due to works by Anglian Water.  

Northampton Street - Cambridge 

Road will be closed until 9.30am on May 5. This will affect Stagecoach stops for the Citi4, the 905 and Madingley park-and-ride. 

Bridge Street - Cambridge        

Overnight closures on May 9 from 9.30pm until 6am.   

B1040 St Mary's Road, Ramsey 

Closed both ways to all traffic from May 9-11 daily between 9.30am and 2.30pm for carriageway work. 

High Street – Cheveley 

The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles between May 9-11 due to works by Anglian Water. 

Capper Road – Waterbeach 

The road will be closed both ways to all motor vehicles between May 9-19 due to works by Cambridge Water. 

B1098 Sixteen Foot Bank - Stonea 

Road closed in both directions to all traffic between 9.30am and 3.30pm daily for carriageway works from May 10-26. 

Fen Road - Newton in the Isle 

Closed both ways to all traffic from May 10-12 due to works by Anglian Water.

Byall Fen Drove - Chatteris

Road closed both ways to all traffic from May 10-12 due to works by Anglian Water.

Borrowdale - Cambridge 

The road is closed to all motor vehicles until May 14 due to works by Cambridge Water. 

Bannold Road - Waterbeach    

The road at the level crossing is closed both ways to all traffic until May 16 between 8am and 5pm daily due to works by Network Rail.   

Church Road - Buckworth               

Closed both ways to all motor vehicles until May 16 due to works by Anglian Water.      

Upton Hill - Upton      

Upton Hill remains closed both ways to all traffic due to works by Anglian Water until May 19.      

Rock Road - Cambridge      

Rock Road is closed between 8am and 5pm daily due to work being carried out by The Electricity Network Company Ltd until June 20.
