Children and staff from Earith Primary School near Huntingdon enjoyed a busy day of activities on Friday (May 5) to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles III.
Pupils from the school, which is part of The Active Learning Trust, began their day with an assembly to mark the special day.
In attendance were local councillors Steve Edwards and Mandy Pink, who had been invited as special guests and handed out commemorative coins to the children.
A festive-themed lunch was enjoyed and, in the afternoon, a tree planting ceremony took place, with a rousing rendition of the National Anthem.
The tree was donated to the school by The Active Learning Trust.
Head of Earith Primary School, Tom Abbs said: “We had a great day celebrating the coronation and I am very proud of all the children for taking part in the activities.
“It was a typically British day including fish and chips and changeable weather!”
He added: “I would like to thank Cllr Edwards and Cllr Pink for joining us for our special assembly and giving the children their commemorative coins which they were all very excited to receive.”
