BID Huntingdon First has said it would like to thank the Department of Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) and UK Government in supporting and contributing to funding of the screenings and to the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) in securing funds.

Paul Sweeney, Huntingdon First town manager said: “What a fantastic weekend we had celebrating His Majesty King Charles III historic coronation live on the big screen.

"It was fantastic to see so many people from our community come together to share the big screen experience, sheltered from the rain.

"The concert was superb on the big screen, with the audience leaving like they had left the actual concert.

"We’ve loved hosting these events and are proud of the work that all the staff and volunteers at The Commemoration Hall put in to support them."

Following on from these screenings, the venue is also hosting The Eurovision Song Contest final.

The fun-filled evening will be screened on the big screen with a party atmosphere in the main hall. There will be decorations, dress ups, prizes and give-aways.

A real chance for fans of the Eurovision to be united by music and hopefully celebrate something other than nil points!," add Paul.

This screening will take place live and is offered free to anyone wishing to attend, booking is essential through.
