Two teenagers from Huntingdon Gymnastics Club took home eight out of 12 medals when they competed in their first junior international for Great Britain.
Sol Scott (16) and Uzair Chowdhury (13) competed at the International Junior Team Cup in Berlin, accompanied by their coach Ben Howells.
Sol took the all-around silver in the under 16 with a score of 76.000 along with gold on vault and bronzes on floor and pommel horse.
In the under 14s, Uzair also took the all-around silver with a score of 72.650 and four apparatus final golds on floor, rings, vault and high bar.
The Great Britain team took the bronze narrowly missing silver (Switzerland) and the USA in first place.
Also at the weekend, 26 Huntingdon Gymnastics Club members competed at the London Men’s Open in Redbridge.
Eight members competed in the full and junior FIG comps, with the club bringing home five medals and several top 10 finish positions.
The Aeras Aviation Development Challenge was home to the remaining 18 gymnasts that had entered into the competition.
Adam Wiacek, Cameron Burrow and Conor Soma Pasztor competed in the under 16 category.
In the under 12, Finley Ashby placed second on floor, gaining the silver medal as well as top ten positions on high bar and pommel.
His teammates, Alfie Tinkler, Leo Buttfield, Theo Simcock-Sims, Zevi Hyland and Oliver Uzarczyk, also performed admirably, wth Oliver placing in the top 10 on pommels.
The under 10 category was well represented by Edward Lee, James Fitzgibbon and Aston Mist, who finished in the top 10 positions on floor and vault.
In the under nine category, Michael Williams gained the bronze medal on pommels, with some good routines showcased by Ethan Webster.
The club's youngest competitors, Monty Decosta, Evan Oyeneye, Cooper James and Miles Walker, also had an exciting day competing in the under 8s category, showing some very tidy routines.
Huntingdon Gymnastics Club now looks forward to the British Teams event in June.
