A hugely popular and iconic local 80s disco party night that ran in St Neots from 1980 until 1989 returns next week - and all for a good cause.
Expect a night of nostalgic 80s disco with all the era-defining funkin’ classics when Monks comes back to the Priory Centre on on Friday June 16.
Many of the original Monks DJs will play on the night, including Big Andy and Mixmaster Jason, who were the originators and brains behind Monks.
There will also be sets from their good friends and DJs of the day Jay’s Roadshow, Circle Sounds and Andy & Cliff’s Disco.
Andy White, organiser, said: "Last year’s party was meant to be a one-off but it was such a fun night that resulted in all the DJs their friends and families wanting to make it an annual event and do it again.
"It also raised more than £1,100 for Motor Neurone Disease charity MND, so 'team Monks' have rallied the crew and this year’s nominated charity benefactors are the Alzheimer's Society and the children’s ward at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
"It sold out last year so we’d suggest booking early as it’s certain to sell out again."
Tickets cost £15 plus booking fee and are available via www.jesterlarf.com
