Starting trimming those hedges and weeding the flower beds and get ready for the Huntingdon Best Kept Front Garden competition.
This annual competition takes place as part of the wider Huntingdon in Bloom project and allows residents to show off their home-grown horticultural skills.
Residents are invited to enter either their own patch of heaven as the Best Front Garden or join with their neighbours to showcase as Best Street.
Judging is based on the overall design and appearance, the tidiness and health of the plants, and the environmental impact such as water conservation and biodiversity.
To enter the annual Best Kept Front Garden competition, your garden must be seen from a public walkway. Street entries must consist of two or more houses and together show that residents keep their front gardens tidy and colourful.
The closing date for entries is Friday, June 30 and judging will then take place at a date in July.
The judges have said they do understand that all the bedding plants may not be in full bloom but they will be looking for "the potential".
The winners of the competition will be announced in August, at the Huntingdon Town Council Allotment Forum, along with the winners of the Best Allotments Competitions.
Natasha Pierson of Huntingdon in Bloom said: “We are delighted to see the return of Huntingdon’s Best Kept competitions again for 2023.
This year, Huntingdon is representing at both Anglia In Bloom and Britain In Bloom, so garden entries are in with a chance of being recognised at a national level.
"It is always wonderful to see the ongoing efforts and dedication of residents taking pride in their gardens and we look forward to visiting and celebrating all those nominated in July.”
