Today, massive amounts of infrastructure have enveloped the area, which includes Hartford, Stukeley Meadows and Sapley, since 1945, with a significant number of housing developments and businesses now present.
More than 21 businesses now operate within the Stukeley Meadows Industrial Estate on Blackstone road, and a number of other developments, including Hinchingbrooke Hospital (constructed in 1983), have signalled growth in the area.
Farmland and open landscape have been occupied by an ever-growing population which has increased by more than 392 per cent from 1951, nearly quadrupling in size.

The population in 1951, according to population statistics produced by the Office for National Statistics based on the Census, was 5,282.
The latest statistics estimate the population of Huntingdon in the mid-2020s had skyrocketed to 25,990.
