A 16-year-old runner from Huntingdonshire Athletics Club has won two gold medals representing England at the School International Athletics Board Track and Field Meet.
Competing for England Schools against athletes from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, Tom Waterworth romped to victory in the Under 17s 800m with a time of 1:53.84.
Tom looked comfortable all race and sprinted away from the field in the last 150m to take the win with relative ease.
Tom's middle-distance running coach, Derek Darnell, said: "It's great to see Tom racing with such confidence and seeing the benefit of all the hard work he has put into the training sessions."
Hailing from Colne, Tom earned his national first vest call-up after a stellar performance at the county championships and also delivered for his country in the 4x400m.
