St Ives Swimming Club athlete Godmanchester resident Chloe Butler has finished 13th overall in the 200-metre breaststroke in her first Senior Open National competition.
The 19-year-old travelled to Sheffield on August 3 for the National Summer Swim Meet and competed against a tough field of swimmers, including swimmers from Queensland, Australia, which made for an exciting and dynamic event.
Chloe raced in the second fastest heat in the outside lane and powered and pushed herself through the last quarter of the 200m to take the 4th spot with a time of 2:44.23 and place 13th overall in the competition.
