We asked our readers to send us their sunflower images and here are some of the best ones. In terms of who has grown the tallest sunflower in Cambridgeshire, there seem to be quite a few which have topped 6ft, with some reaching a towering 14ft.
If you can beat this, send your photo, with details, to: debbie.davies@newsquest.co.uk.
Ollie, from Chatteris, has grown plants that are between 8ft and 10ft.
Nicola Monk has grown a 14ft sunflower.
Emily Walker sent us her perennial sunflower which she says will only ever grow to around two feet. It is a Helianthus Brown Eyed Girl, planted in memory of her mum, as her parent’s song was Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison.
Three-year-old Ollie grew six sunflowers this year from seed and his mum said he watered them every day. They range from eight-feet-tall to just under 10-feet and attract lots of bees and butterflies in the family's Chatteris garden.
