A woman was taken to hospital after a crash on a busy road in Huntingdonshire this morning (October 19).
Emergency services were called after 9.41am to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the Huntingdon ring road at the junction of Walden Road and Castle Moat Road.
Cambridgeshire police closed the road, and a woman was extricated from her car. She was then taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital to receive treatment for an injury.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "An ambulance, ambulance officer vehicle and a rapid response vehicle with a critical care paramedic onboard were sent to the scene, where they were assisted by colleagues with the extrication of a woman from a vehicle.

"The woman was transported to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for treatment for a wrist injury."
The other driver avoided injury, and officers reopened the road at 11.06am.
Reacting to the news of the incident on social media, one road user said: "It's always been an accident waiting to happen..."
Another road user added: "I hope everyone is ok. That section of road is an accident waiting to happen; I've seen so many near misses!"
