The team behind a pumpkin patch in Cambridgeshire has raised an “amazing” £653.90 for a cause close to their hearts.
Pumpkins at Freshfields, who are based on Benwick Road, along the Ramsey Forty Foot, welcomed donations for Great Ormond Street Hospital as “our little family member, Ellie, has received great care from the outstanding hospital”.
The team added: “Thank you to everyone who donated this year either via the collection pot at the pay hut or by purchasing one of the lovely knitted/crochet pumpkins which we had on sale.
“Thank you to all the stalls holders who joined us this year who have generously donated too.”
The team also thanked Rotary in Ramsey for all their help in the car park, Bessie (Gemma) and kiwi coffee pod for serving cakes and hot drinks, face painter Cheeky Moo), Betty’s meats for pork rolls, and Edwards of Upwood for flat cap eggs and jams.
“Finally, a big thank you to all the ladies for helping on the patch and the farm staff for growing and looking after the pumpkins all year.
“We look forward to seeing you all again next year.”
