A seven-year-old took part in a sponsored silence and raised over £350 for a charity that works in St Neots.
Teddy Albone, a pupil at Crosshall School, in Eaton Ford, managed to stay quiet for the entire school day last Thursday (November 16).
To remind everyone he couldn’t talk to them, he had a sign taped to him saying: “I am doing a sponsored silence”.
He carried out the sponsored challenge to raise funds for The 3 Pillars - Feeding the Homeless Trust.
Teddy said: “It’s almost winter and getting cold outside.
“People who are homeless must be feeling hungry, and freezing.
“So I wanted to help them.”

Mum Chloe said Teddy had certainly exceeded his original fundraising target of £100.
She said: “We’re so proud of him.
“He is an active boy so a sponsored walk or a bike ride would have been really easy for him.
“But he is also a chatty boy, so we thought the sponsored silence would be more of a challenge.”
The 3 Pillars - Feeding the Homeless Trust feeds and supports homeless people and most vulnerable in St Neots, Huntingdon and Peterborough.
