An inquest has been opened into the death of a driver following a collision on the A428 near St Neots.
Jack Bayford, 20, of Elstow, near Bedford, was involved in the collision on November 17 at Croxton.
Elizabeth Gray, an area coroner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, opened an inquest into his death on Thursday (November 30).
During the brief hearing at Lawrence Court, in Huntingdon, she gave a provisional cause of death as 1A traumatic head injury.
The findings from toxicology tests are still pending.
“I am going to adjourn Mr Bayford’s inquest to be relisted at a date to be advised,” Ms Gray added.
Last week, Mr Bayford’s family paid tribute and described him as “funny, geeky and hardworking”.
In a statement released through Cambridgeshire Police, they said: “Our family is beyond heartbroken at the sudden loss of Jack.
“He was kind, loving, gentle, funny, geeky and hardworking and had his whole life in front of him.
“To be taken too soon and in this way feels so cruel and we are still struggling to believe it is real.”
