Cambridgeshire food reviewer Lucy Melton shares her thoughts on Olive's Coffee Shop in Somersham.

I always love to try out places local to me and I recently headed to Olives in Somersham, this was formerly the Wild Frost Café which I always enjoyed.

It is a small family-run coffee shop in the centre of the village and it has a really nice, relaxed feeling inside.

They had a great lunchtime menu which includes jacket potatoes, paninis and salads etc, they also do a few larger dishes.

I went for the pulled pork roll with stuffing and apple sauce which was served with wedges and a small side salad. It was amazing and had so much filling!

I was really impressed with how much pork and stuffing they had in the roll, it needed the apple sauce added in as the pork wasn’t juicy enough to not have it, it wasn’t dry, but I needed that little something more.

The wedges on the side were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, they also had a great flavour as they had been cooked with some spices as a coating.

I had a Gingerbread latte with it which was made perfectly, nice and milky with a great gingerbread flavour coming through but not too overpowering, and it came in a festive glass which was cute!

My sister had pulled pork on a jacket potato, again she had a very generous amount of pork and a decent sized potato.

Everything was a good portion size and fair pricing which is what I always appreciate in a local business.

I am definitely going to go back and try out the breakfast menu as well as one of the sweet treats they had in the cabinet- they looked amazing, but I just didn't have space for it!

I love that everything here is homemade and each dish that comes out is well presented and freshly made. This place is definitely worth a visit!
