Motorists in Cambridgeshire will face a nine-mile diversion starting next week as a key road is set to be closed for two months.
Forty Foot Bank near Chatteris will be closed from Monday, January 15 until Friday, March 15, so that a water main can be replaced.
The Forty Foot Bank Road will be completely closed from the junction with Doddington Road to the junction with Puddock Road.
Commuters heading towards Peterborough will still be able to use the A47 from Guyhirn or the A605 through Whittlesey.
