Six new recruits are about to complete a course which will make them qualified 999 and 101 call handlers.
The course is 10 weeks long and includes risk management, incident categorisation and Cambridgeshire Police's grading policy.
Once the course is completed, the six recruits will be Cambridgeshire Police's newest 999 and 101 call handlers.

In a post on Facebook, Cambridgeshire Police said: "If you feel ready for a new and exciting career change, you could join them!
"With our control room busier than ever, we are recruiting for more call handlers to help us create a safer Cambridgeshire.
"No two days are ever the same in our control room, so if you feel you could be the voice that people hear in their time of need, and you're ready to take the next step in your career, join us on the frontline of policing, making a crucial difference to people who really need our help."
Cambridgeshire Police are recruiting for new call handlers to join the force.
Applications close in a week (from February 5).
