A new 3G sports pitch is set to be built at Sawtry Village Academy following funding from the Premier League, the FA as well as the Football Foundation.
Huntingdonshire District Council, the Meridian Trust and Sawtry Village Academy have also contributed to the fund.
A 91m x 55m floodlit pitch is set to be developed, and the existing multi-use games area will also be refurbished thanks to the funding.
It is hoped that the new pitch will be up and running by the end of the year.
Approximately 75 per cent of the total cost of these plans has been provided by the Football Foundation, who gave a grant of almost £800,000.
Huntingdonshire District Council provided a contribution of £150,000, while Meridian Trust and Sawtry Village Academy have jointly contributed £100,000.
