Cambridgeshire Police officers were called out to Buckden on February 26 to rescue an unusual suspect near the verge of the A1.
The force received multiple calls from concerned drivers who were worried about a lone sheep.
The sheep was teetering on the verge of the carriageway, and almost caused an accident.
Luckily, Cambridgeshire Police officers rescued the sheep and herded it back to the police car.
It hitched a ride with officers to a nearby farm, where it was scanned and returned to its rightful owner.
