A care home in St Ives is a finalist for two prestigious national awards.
Care UK’s Field Lodge, on London Road, has been shortlisted in the Care Home Awards 2024.
It is up for the titles of ‘outstanding care provider in a group’ and ‘best for specialist care’.
Field Lodge was the first Care UK home to be awarded the 'care fit for VIPs’ accreditation from Worcester University, which acknowledges a gold-tier level of care for residents living with dementia, as well as their relatives.
As a mental health first aider, home manager Linda Martinez has recruited additional ‘mental health buddies’ within the team.
She said: “We’re delighted to have been nominated for not just one, but two awards – it’s incredibly rewarding to have our hard work recognised nationally.
“The whole team work tirelessly to make Field Lodge a wonderful place to call home, ensuring everyone feels welcome and supported.
“I’m so proud of the team for their care, commitment and dedication!”
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on May 17.
