Dave Collins, the night porter at the Golden Lion Hotel, in St Ives, has won the Night Porter of the Year award, decided by the Coaching Inn Group.
Dave gets into work at 10pm and is on hand at the Golden Lion Hotel to check in late arriving guests and handle overnight room calls.
He's also on hand to check out early departures and set up the breakfast service.
Dave, who has been described as a "family man living in Colne", took the coveted win at the Coaching Inn Group awards, and has been named as the Night Porter of the Year.
He attended the awards ceremony in Lincoln and was presented his award in front of a 300-strong crowd.
Dave said: "It certainly came as a surprise!
"But night work has always suited me because I have been doing it for around 30 years.
"I was night manager of a conference centre in Cambridge before I transferred to The Golden Lion five years ago.
"It's also great to be a part of an enthusiastic and supportive team of colleagues."
Adam Charity, the Coaching Inn Group Chief Operating Officer, said that "Dave is a most worthy winner of the Night Porter of the Year Award."
