A licensing application has been submitted to Huntingdonshire District Council to turn a now-closed fish and chip shop into a late night takeaway.

Formerly known as The Codfather, at 66 Huntingdon Street, St Neots, plans have been submitted to turn the shop into "Jozef Kitchen".

Under the licensing application, the new venture is described as a fish and chips and fried chicken restaurant and takeaway.

The application also confirms that it plans to be a late night venue which serves alcohol.

The new business hopes to service alcohol between 10:30am and midnight, Sunday to Thursday, and 10:30am till 2am from Friday to Saturday.

From Sunday to Thursday, the premises will close at midnight, while on Friday and Saturday they'll close at 2am.

The application states: "Alcohol will be sold and served with a consumption of food to prevent excessive alcohol consumption.

"Alcohol sales may only be made where a food sale takes place a part of the same transaction."
