A popular St Ives pub is re-opening today (Monday) after more than three months since closing its doors.
Located in the town centre, the White Hart was taken over by Phillip Lloyd after the pub was forced to close at Easter.
A customer at the public house for more than 10 years, Phillip said he took over the establishment because he "couldn't bear" to see it close.
He told The Hunts Post: "It was a community pub that got run into the ground and saw customers leaving.
"But I'm happy to say that the interest in absolutely incredible, and I'm hoping that it'll be absolutely packed.
"We've hired an incredible new team, including a brand new chef and a 21-year-old pub manager."
Phillip said he has invested "significant time and money" into a major refurbishment of the premises, often working from 6am to 4am for the last couple of weeks.
With a background as a site manager, he completed many aspects of the work required for the reopening himself.
The old coaching inn will also offer a fully-revamped menu, with a "very large" breakfast selection served from 8am until 11am.
A "menu of the day" will feature an array of dishes with a two for £15 offer, with evening dishes including 'foot-long' baguettes prepared by Phillip himself.
Phillip added that in the future he would like to see the place "fully re-fitted" so it can become a space for everyone to enjoy.
