An award-winning festival returns to Huntingdonshire this weekend after being crowned Cambridgeshire Festival of the Year 2023.

St Neots Festival will be back at Priory Park from July 6-7 with "music, arts and unexpected delights".

The festival is free and promises to be great fun for all ages.

There will be a Beacon Stage, a Wintringham Stage, a Nisa Stage and a Freedom Stage with lots of entertainment.

The acts on the stages includes the St Neots All Stars, the New Cambridge Waits, Rock Choir and Nina Waits for No Man.

As well as several stages there will also be different zones with activities to participate in.

There will be Articipate Zone with coffee painting and a silent disco, the Theatre Zone with comedy and the St Neots Players, the Kids Zone and the Wellbeing Zone, featuring the Walk & Talk 4 Men group.

There will also be a Youth Zone, a Neotists Zone, and a Community Zone.

This year, the festival promises to be "greener than Glastonbury". A free shuttle bus service will take St Neots residents to the festival and extra bike racks to encourage people to leave their cars at home.

All of the zones, stages and food trucks will also be ran off of mains power, battery packs and biodiesel generators.

Last year, more than 1,000 people took part in the festival (which included the St Neots Festival Parade). The success of last year also saw the community celebration win the Cambridgeshire Festival of the Year 2023 - and 2024 is set to be just as brilliant.

The St Neots Festival is free for all to attend, and the Neotists say they work hard to keep it that way. They rely on donations, sponsors and volunteers for the festival.
