A series of "improvement work" will take place in a Huntingdonshire Town Centre next week (July 15).
The Broadway in St Ives is set for a revamp following on from a consultation held by Cambridgeshire County Council.
The work hopes to boost footfall in the town and make the area more accessible for walkers, wheelchair users and pushchairs.
From July 15, St Ives residents will see work beginning in the area. Some of the improvements will include widening footpaths, two new crossing points, new seating, planters, and new cycle parking.
A chicane will be installed outside of the Norris Museum as well to slow traffic entering The Broadway.

The Broadway will remain open throughout the construction work. Parking will be suspended firstly on one side of the road and then the other. Traffic will be managed with temporary traffic lights too.
While parking is suspended, alternative spaces will be available at the Globe Place car park on West Street.
The work will create a "safer and more welcoming environment" for pedestrians and cyclists, leading St Ives to be a greener community for all.
