Cambridgeshire Police officers are at the scene of a crash on the A1 after a lorry hit a bridge today (July 11).
A lorry struck the bridge at Wyboston, near St Neots, which has caused it to shed its load.
The A1 southbound is closed at St Neots while recovery work takes place.
The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit have told motorists to expect "lengthy delays".
Engineers are on site to inspect the bridge, and traffic is being diverted off onto the A428 eastbound but can re-enter the A1 south via the Wyboston roundabout.
