The A421 is closed between the Black Cat roundabout and Renhold today (July 16) after a crash on the road.
At 4.46pm, National Highways confirmed that traffic had been stopped in both directions on the A421 after a vehicle crashed into the central reservation.
As of 5:20pm, the northbound carriageway of the A421 between Renhold (A4280) and the Black Cat roundabout (A1) has reopened. Lane two on the southbound carriageway is still closed, with traffic passing in one lane only.
National Highways confirmed that there are 60 minutes of residual delays northbound, with 30 minutes of delays southbound.

The Live AA Traffic Map has described the crash as a "medical incident". The East of England Ambulance Service has been contacted.
