An order issued by Cambridgeshire Police and Huntingdonshire District Council has now come into effect in an area in the district.
A Public Space Protection Order is now in place for an area in Eynesbury, meaning that the following conditions are now being enforced:
- No open vessels of alcohol
- No personal use of narcotic substances
- No encampments on public land
- No public defecation/urination
- No intimidating behaviour
Anyone who doesn't follow the order may be issued with a fixed penalty notice of £100. Or, they could face a fine of up to £1,000 if prosecuted under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

Huntingdonshire District council and Cambridgeshire Police issued the order in response to anti-social behaviour in Eynesbury surrounding Berkley Street and The Parish Church of Eynesbury.
The conditions of the order apply to land within Eynesbury, which include all public highways, footpaths, bridleways and public access which are part of Berkley Street, Buckley Road, Luke Street, Montagu Street, Washbank Road, Pope Road, School Lane, St Mary's Street and connecting public footpaths.
Huntingdonshire District Council's Community Protection and Enforcement Team have been putting up signs with the St Neots Neighbourhood Policing Team which have information about the order.
They've also been speaking with those most impacted by these new measures.
