Cambridgeshire has been named in the top 10 Best UK Holiday Camping Spots.
The outdoor experts, GO Outdoors, have named the best 20 places to go camping in the country as the summer holidays start, and Cambridgeshire is right at the top.
It placed seventh. Cornwall was ranked the best, followed by Norfolk, East Sussex, North Yorkshire, Dumfries and Galloway, and the Scottish Highlands.
Cambridgeshire was given a score of 8.87 out of 10. Here's the breakdown of the score:
- The number of nature and wildlife areas per 1,000 km2 - 11.8
- The average annual temperature - 10.7ºC
- The average annual rainfall - 38.4mm
- The number of campsites - 22
- The percentage of campsites with disabled facilities - 36.4 per cent
- The percentage of campsites with kids playgrounds - 22.7 per cent
- The percentage of campsites open year round - 50 per cent
- The percentage of campsites with internet access - 40.9 per cent
- The percentage of pet-friendly campsites - 90.9 per cent
- The average camping costs - £71.67

Cambridge ranked in three other rankings by GO Outdoors. It came 17th in the Best Overall UK Holiday Hotspots list with a score of 7.67/10.
The city ranked ninth in the Best UK Holiday Hotspots for Couples with a score of 8.45/10.
Cambridge is also the nineteenth best place for families to go on holiday in the UK, as GO Outdoors scored it 7.58/10.
