A Cambridgeshire cricket club aiming for promotion to a league with four ex-international players has secured a sponsorship deal with a housebuilder.
Ramsey Cricket Club will receive support from Vistry Group, which has sponsored a set of cricket stumps at the club.
The club is currently vying for a place in the East Anglian Premier League, which counts former England players Monty Panasar, Phil Mustard, and Ollie Stone, and Australian batsman Jake Weatherall among its ranks.
The sponsored stumps display the logo of Bovis Homes, a Vistry brand developing 100 homes in Ramsey at its Cromwell Abbey location.
Based in Cricketfield Lane, Ramsey Cricket Club has four senior and several youth teams.
Its men’s first team competes in the Onyx Cricket Division One.
Ramsey Cricket Club chairman, Andrew Hodgson, said: "We are delighted that Vistry East Anglia has chosen to sponsor the club for the 2024 season.
"The club is at the heart of its community and relies on our fantastic sponsors to deliver cricket in Ramsey each season, including programmes for children from the age of five through to the under-11, under-13, and under-15 teams.

“We are extremely proud that Vistry has chosen to sponsor our stumps and sincerely hope that this will be the beginning of a long-term relationship."
Fraser Hopes, regional managing director of Vistry East Anglia, said: “It is wonderful that the first team is doing so well but just as important is the welcoming environment that the club provides for boys and girls of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game of cricket.
"The club plays a vital role in the local community as it brings together families in a sporting and social context.
"We are proud to be associated with the club and will help it out as much as we can.”
