A much-loved restaurant in Huntingdon has taken the tough decision to close its doors.

Original Thai, on Huntingdon High Street, has now closed. The team said that the closure announcement came with "mixed emotions".

They said: "It's been our pleasure to serve Huntingdon and the surrounding areas over the years, and I can honestly say the best thing about the restaurant has been our customers. 

"We have really enjoyed meeting you all during the time we have owned the restaurant."

The team thanked everyone for their support while they ran Original Thai and said customers have been "so understanding" through their journey.

However, there is still a glimmer of hope as they said, "perhaps one day we will return". The spot will be a much-missed addition to the High Street.

They finished: "For now, it's goodbye from all of us at Original Thai."
