Bill Hensley, station manager at Huntingdon Community Radio, says get ready for the 2024 Huntingdon Carnival.
Mark your calendars for the most anticipated event of the summer – the Huntingdon Carnival. The event takes place on August 10/11 at the Riverside Park.
This year’s carnival promises to be bigger and better than ever, with two days packed full of excitement, entertainment and community spirit.
The festivities start with the town parade through Huntingdon at midday on Saturday. The aim is to transform the town into a vibrant hub of activity.
Our dedicated volunteers will be on site in the park and we invite everyone to stop by our tent and meet the team and maybe pick up one or two freebies!
There will be stalls, food outlets, funfair rides, a fun dog show and the ever-popular Lancaster Bomber fly-past by the BBM Flight as well as arena events.
The highlight of the carnival will be Live in The Park on Sunday. This special event will feature performances from seven local bands and singers, showcasing the incredible talent within our community. Bring your picnic blankets and settle in for a day of fantastic live entertainment.
The carnival is not just about fun; it’s about coming together as a community. It’s an opportunity to support local businesses and charity groups, enjoy time with family and friends, and create lasting memories. Your support is crucial in making this event a success.
And the best bit? Entry on both days is absolutely free!
