An iconic Second World War aircraft will fly over Huntingdon this weekend as part a memorial flypast.
The Lancaster Bomber PA474 is set to fly over Huntingdon as part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) at approximately 4.38pm on Sunday August 11.
After Huntingdon, the aircraft will pass over Boston Classic Car Show, with the next flyover scheduled for August 16 at Mayfield.
One of only two flying examples in the world, the aircraft has undergone extensive maintenance, including the replacement of the entire tail to ensure it is ready to fly again.
The BBMF operates from RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire and maintains artefacts in airworthy condition to commemorate those who have fallen in the service of the UK.
The Flight operates six Spitfires, two Hurricanes, a Lancaster, a C47 Dakota, and two Chipmunk aircraft.
