Amazing photos sent it by readers capture the moment one of Britain's most iconic aircraft flew over Huntingdon as part of a memorial flypast.
The Lancaster Bomber PA474 flew over Huntingdon as part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) at approximately just after 4.30pm on Sunday August 11.
After Huntingdon, the aircraft passed over Boston Classic Car Show, with the next flyover scheduled for August 16 at Mayfield.
One of only two flying examples in the world, the aircraft has undergone extensive maintenance, including the replacement of the entire tail to ensure it is ready to fly again.
The BBMF operates from RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire and maintains artefacts in airworthy condition to commemorate those who have fallen in the service of the UK.
The Flight operates six Spitfires, two Hurricanes, a Lancaster, a C47 Dakota, and two Chipmunk aircraft.
