Students at Ramsey Gatehouse Sixth Form are celebrating a "fantastic" set of exam results today (August 15).

Pupils at the school, which was formerly known as Abbey College Sixth Form, completed A-Level exams and other qualifications as part of the Sixth Form's relaunch of the Post-16 offer in 2024.

Some of the top performers at Ramsey Gatehouse Sixth Form are: 

  • Charlie Gaillard, who achieved three As and an A* in mathematics to secure his place at the London School of Economics to study maths and economics

  • Jack Hodgson scored three As to study chemical engineering at the University of Nottingham

  • Davi Kings, who achieved two Bs and a Distinction * in sports studies and will study sports and exercise science at the University of Lancaster
  • Leanne Malaika achieved an A, a B and An A* in art to study architecture at the University of Edinburgh
  • Rosie Mead achieved three As in her A-Levels while she represented Great Britain in the Hyrox Fitness Contest during her exam period - where she placed 99th overall. She is heading to the University of Loughborough to study accounting and finance

  • Isabelle Smith achieved A*, A and B and will be reading history at the University of Birmingham

  • Aidan Yeeles scored an A* in maths and an A in further maths to study cyber security at the University Centre in Peterborough

The school said that it saw "strong results" in maths, further maths, history, sports studies and business. 

Samantha Moore, head of Sixth Form at Ramsey Gatehouse said: "We are thrilled for our students who have worked exceptionally hard to achieve these superb results, particularly given it’s our first year since relaunching the sixth form.

"They are the result of the dedication and hard work that our students have invested over the last two years and they should be very proud of their achievements."
