Students at Longsands Academy have "lots to celebrate" following their successful A-Level results.
The St Neots school saw students collect their exam results this morning (August 15) after weeks of waiting.
Among the many pupils who are ready to move on to pastures new, here are some of the outstanding results achieved by some of the students:
- Nick Barrett achieved four A*s and will be attending the University of Cambridge
- Issac Timms also attained four A*s and is heading to the University of Oxford
- Matthew Ulph achieved three A*s
- Matei Presada achieved three As and an A* in his Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)
- Thomas Fengler and Katie Churms both got three As
- Samuel Young achieved ABB
Dr Catherine Cusick, Principal at Longsands, said: "These are brilliant results from our students, who have worked so hard.
"I have been so impressed with the dedication and tenacity our students have shown, they should be really proud of what they have achieved. These are record results, showing vast improvements in our results over the last 3 years at Longsands."
"I would also like to thank my staff team who have been such a support to the students."
A spokesperson for the Astrea Academy Trust credited staff at Longsands Academy, saying: "Staff at Longsands have worked incredibly hard to ensure their students were as prepared as possible for their A Levels. In particular, the school organised revision sessions, subject clinics and one to one support for students.
"This extra support paid off with many students achieving excellent results. Thanks to the hard work of both students and staff, there is lots to celebrate, with many students taking up places at university or on an apprenticeship, as well as those who are entering the workplace."
