Several pubs across Huntingdonshire have won awards from the Campaign for Real Ale group in 2024 - is your local on there?
The Huntingdonshire branch of Campaign for Real Ale, (CAMRA), is a 600-strong group who promote "good quality cask beer" to be served in pubs across Huntingdon, St Neots, St Ives, Kimbolton, Earith, Sawtry and Bassingbourn.
CAMRA also host two "Booze on the Ouse" festivals in St Neots in March, and in St Ives in October.
Several pubs across the area have received awards from CAMRA this year in various categories - find out the winners in 2024 down below.
Branch Pub of the Year 2024
The winner of Branch Pub of the Year was the King of the Belgians in Hartford.
The pub, which has won several awards, serves real ales, Cromwell Cider, pizza and Sunday roasts. They also do open-mic music nights, quiz nights and pub games nights.
The King of the Belgians will now go up to compete in the Pub of the Year Award for Cambridgeshire.
Rural Pub of the Year 2024
There were three nominations for the Rural Pub of the Year - The Chequers in Little Gransden, The Crystal Ship in Earith and the Royal Oak in Warboys. The winner was family-run pub, The Chequers.
The Chequers has been ran by the same family for more than 70 years and also brews its very own house brews for local beer festivals.
Urban Pub of the Year 2024
Sandford House in Huntingdon, The Ale Taster in St Neots and the King of the Belgians in Hartford were all up for this award. However, it was the King of the Belgians that was crowned the Urban Pub of the Year.

Community Pub of the Year 2024
The King of the Belgians picked up a hattrick of awards from CAMRA in 2024, as they took the Community Pub of the Year crown as well.
The pub received the award for its work with local charities, providing a community hub, and hosting regular events.
The other pubs up for the award were the Black Bull in Brampton and The Crystal Ship in Earith.
Cider Pub of the Year 2024
The Cider Pub of the Year went to The Crystal Ship in Earith, which received the most nominations on the basis of its high standard cider and it's availability of it.
The Crystal Ship serves up eleven ales from The Papworth Brewery Tap, as well as guest ales, ciders, wines and spirits.
The King of the Belgians in Hartford and The Ale Taster in St Neots were also nominated.
Club of the Year 2024
The Club of the Year Award goes to a local club who support CAMRA and offer a good variety of real ale. This year's winner was the Comrades Club in Godmanchester, which has been open since 1920.
Most Improved Pub of the Year 2024
The Market Inn in Huntingdon was given the Most Improved Pub of the Year Award for 2024. CAMRA awarded The Market Inn for their improvements following new management.
Other nominations include the Brampton Institute in Brampton and The Royal Oak in St Ives.
Mild and Dark Ale Pub of the Year 2024
The Crystal Ship in Earith were awarded the Mild and Dark Ale Pub of the Year Award. They were voted top for a consistent range of mild and dark beers which are kept to a high standard.
The Falcon in Huntingdon and the Pig 'n' Falcon in St Neots were also nominated.
The LocAle Pub of the Year Award 2024
The Crystal Ship in Earith also picked up The LocAle Pub of the Year Award for offering a range of beers from local breweries.
The King of the Belgians was also nominated.
