The family of a pedestrian who died after a crash on the A1123 have paid tribute to an "amazing individual".

Stephen Chamberlain, of Station Road, Longstanton, was struck by a blue Vauxhall Corsa travelling between Stretham and Wicken on Saturday August 17. 

Emergency services attended the scene following the crash and Mr Chamberlain was taken to hospital, where he later died. 

The driver of the car, a 49-year-old woman from Haddenham, remained at the scene and is assisting police with enquiries.

In a tribute, Mr Chamberlain's family said: “Steve was a much-loved husband, father, son, brother and friend.

“He was an amazing individual whose only goal in life was to help others in any way possible.

“He made a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

“He will be deeply missed but forever in the hearts of his loved ones.”
