A vibrant ensemble named ‘The Wandering Minstrels' will provide a feast for theatre lovers, presenting a gala concert, "The World of Gilbert and Sullivan" on Saturday, September 7.

Hosted in the Hamerton Parish Church, the event kicks off at 7.30pm, with doors swinging wide open from 6.30pm.

Offerings from the company will feature song, dance and theatre snippets from a medley of Savoy Operas.

Billed performances promise extracts from ‘The Gondoliers’, ‘Trial by Jury’, and 'The Mikado', among others.

Participants in the gala will include Alexandra Ferrari, Emma Stratton, Charles Mills, David Woods, and actor Tim Hurst-Brown accompanied by pianist Peter Hewitt.

Advance tickets can be purchased for £15 or at the door for £20, inclusive of a complimentary glass of wine.

Further refreshments, including Digfield real ales, are accessible from a cash bar.

Beneficiaries from the gala proceeds will be church funds.
