Two roads in Huntingdon are set to close during the October half term, causing chaos for nearby residents.
Both Ambury Road and California Road will be shut from October 28 until November 11 to allow for Cambridgeshire County Council's Highways team to carry out resurfacing and reconstruction works.
The work is set to be carried out from 8am until 6pm every day, but both of the roads will be closed all day everyday.
The council has applied for a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) to allow for the works on potholes to go ahead.
A spokesperson said that the team will make "every effort" to adhere to the closure times, but external factors, including the weather, could change the schedule.
Diversion routes are set to be in place throughout the closure and they will be clearly signposted.
Residents on both Ambury Road and California Road are due to be contacted by Cambridgeshire County Council at least two weeks before the work starts so they are aware of the road closure and diversion routes.
