The community shop serving two Cambridgeshire villages is looking to up its number of volunteers.
The Houghton and Wyton Community Shop is owned and managed by residents of the villages.
It sells fresh and frozen goods, seasonal produce, newspapers, and also has a Post Office inside too.
The shop is stocked full with produce from local businesses, including the Grasmere Farm range in Lincolnshire and items from the Meadow Lodge Farm in Bluntisham.
During the Covid-19 Pandemic the shop supported members of the community and has taken part in local festivities like Feast Week and the Christmas Lights.
The shop relies on volunteers to work inside as well as join the Management Committee. The Committee is looking to increase the number of volunteers that dedicate their time to supporting the shop.
Recently, the Committee confirmed that it was looking for a new shop assistant to join the team.
