A care home in Huntingdon is opening its doors to host a wellbeing day.

Ferrars Hall Care Home, in Ferrars Road, Huntingdon, will host the event on September 21, from 10am.

The event will be open to the local community who can go along and learn about different initiatives dedicated to enhancing the community’s health and wellbeing.

Organisations attending the event include Anglia Healthcare and Mobility, a family-run business that offers products to assist with mobility, helping clients to stay independent for as long as possible.

The Huntingdonshire Society for the Blind and Vision Impaired, an independent local charity dedicated to supporting people with sight impairment, will also be at the event.

The charity offers advice, resources and helpful services depending on individual circumstances.

Physiotherapy Cambridgeshire Community Rehabilitation Ltd will be at the event to provide information about their service, which is a physiotherapy community service focused on enhancing the health and mobility of older adults.

The Macular Society will also be in attendance to provide information and support to those with macular disease, along with their families and friends, to help people keep their independence.

The Devika Care Company will be at the event to provide information about their service, which aims to enhance the quality of life for individuals living with dementia through engaging activities, socialisation, and personalised care.

In addition, their service offers respite and support for caregivers and families.

The team from the Mobile Dental Services will be there to provide information about the importance of good oral health and the mobile dental clinics which can be delivered in the comfort of your own familiar surroundings.
