A man charged with "fraud by abuse of position" while serving as a treasurer for a Freemasons lodge appeared in court on September 6.
Raymond Godby, of Station Road, Abbots Ripton, appeared at Cambridge Crown Court charged with one count of fraud by abuse of position and two counts of fraud by false representation.
The alleged offences occurred between July 1, 2018 and September 5, 2022 while he was treasurer at the Stuart Lodge of the Freemasons.
The lodge is based in London.

The 73-year-old is accused of having “dishonestly abused” the position of treasurer “thereby to make gain, namely Stuart Lodge Funds” for himself contrary to Sections 1 and 4 of the Fraud Act 2006.
Godby pleaded not guilty to the alleged offences.
A pretrial review is listed for April 28, 2025 and a fixed floater trial for May 12.
The hearings are currently listed for Cambridge Crown.
He has been remanded on unconditional bail until his next court appearance.
