Several villages and towns across Huntingdonshire are set to be hit with weeks-long roadworks and road closures.
Cambridgeshire County Council has begun its road surface treatment work scheme, which will see roads across the county resurfaced. The work is part of an £43m investment to improve the conditions of road networks.
Works will take place across Huntingdon, Ramsey and Somersham, as well as several other areas. The roadworks schedule is down below.
Roadworks and closures scheduled for Huntingdonshire
- Steeple Gidding Road in Steeple Gidding will have work carried out for 10 days between 8am and 6pm from September 30
- Kings Delph Road in Farcet will have work caried out for 10 days between 8am and 6pm from October 8
- Chatteris Road in Somersham will be closed both day and night for nine weeks from October 16 while work is carried out between 8am to 6pm daily (may include weekends)
- California Road in Huntingdon will have work carried out for a week and two days between 8am and 5pm from October 26
- The Great Whyte in Ramsey will be closed every night for three weeks from November 4
- Keats Court in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on October 1
- Byron Place in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on October 1
- Browning Drive in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on October 1
- Masefield Avenue in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm for two days from October 1
- Chaucer Place in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm for two days from October 2
- Cowpers Court in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on October 3
- Tennyson Place in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on October 3
- Kipling Place in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm for two days from October 3
- Longfellow Place in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm for two days from October 4
- Burns Court in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on October 7
- Wordsworth Avenue in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on October 7
- Shelley Place in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm for two days from October 7
- Stevenson Court in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on October 8
- Spencer Close in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on October 8
- Marlowe Court in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on October 8
- Hardy Place in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm for two days from October 8
- Milton Avenue in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm for three days from October 9
- Coleridge Close in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on October 9
- Fielding Court in Eaton Ford will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on October 9
- B1050 Colne Road, Earith Road and Somersham Road in Earith, Colne and Somersham will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm for two days from October 14
- B1096 Wood Lane and B1096 Ramsey Road in Ramsey and Ramsey forty Foot will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on October 16
- Dovecote Lane in Yaxley will be closed between 8am and 4pm for two days from October 17
- Church Street in Yaxley will be closed between 8am and 4pm on October 21
- Main Street and West End in Yaxley will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm for two days from October 22
- B1090 Walton Hill and B1090 Woodwalton Lane in Wood Walton, Sawtry will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm on November 15
- A1096 London Road in Fenstanton will be closed between 8am and 5pm on November 17
- Bullock Road in Elton will be closed between 8am and 4pm on November 25
- A141 Huntingdon Northern Bypass will be closed between 8pm and 6am for two nights from November 26
- Church Street in Stilton will be closed between 9:30am and 2:30pm for three days from November 27
- B660 Main Street, Winwick Road and Infield Road in Great Gidding, Glatton will be closed between 9:30am and 3:30pm on December 2
